drive    drove      driven   driving  drives
work   worked working  works
go      went       gone         going      goes
come  came     come      coming     comes
similarly, you have to remember  verb forms
You can know verb forms of English is so easy, you can remember some of the rules related which form of the verb should apply to where,
As you learn verb form you will have an idea using these form,

We know that there are three kinds of tense
Present tense
Past tense
Future tense
Let’s talk about these kinds of tense respectively:
We know that every tense is of four types,
Present tense -it contains
 simple present,
 present continuous tense,
present perfect tense,
present Perfect continuous tense,

in simple present reveal about things in general, and is said to that something happens all the time which is a daily routine works or express routine works, or that something is true in general,

As it expresses routine work so here routine may be either of daily or weekly
For example -I go for walk daily,
                 He comes here every month,
Note -keep remember that first form of the verb is used with I (1st person) or you (2nd person ) as well as  plural subject (they, we etc …)
For example – I do,
                      You do,
                       We do,
                        They do,
Note – in simple present tense V5 is always used with Singular subject,
When do we add S/es with v1 it form V5,
V1+s/es =v5
Do consider these some sentences –
I do play cricket,.
You teach English,
They run daily,.
                                 He plays cricket,
                                  She does her work,
                                  He runs daily,
                             Your father drives a bus,
So we notice here that v1 form is used with I, you and they while the v5 form is used with he, she, it, this,,…

How you can understand simple present tense –

Suppose you are a teacher and you are called in a meeting, clearly can say that you don’t teach now, as you are in a meeting, but by the profession, you are a teacher, and you teach, so here you teach is that represent simple present tense,

Simple present tense contain the use of do and does,

We use of do with the plural subject and I and you as well,
While the use of does is done with a Singular subject in a simple present,
For example -he does his work
Here do is the v1 but  does is v5 because he is a singular subject,
2nd other examples- I do teach, and I teach,
.you may understand why is used do , why not does with I ,
Use of do /does is done to make questions and as well as negative sentences,
For example- do you go to the market ? ,
                       Does she play?
               Does he play cricket ?.
               Does she do her work?
        Do they beat you ?.
       What do you do?
He doesn’t do anything to earn money,
You don’t go to school,
I don’t go away very often,

structure for making negative sentences —

Sub +do/does +not +v1+object ,
He doesn’t co me here .if he comes I will beat him,
I don’t go there these days,
We don’t know her,

Structure for Interrogative sentence –

Do/does +sub +v1+object..
Do you drink milk?
Does she call you?
Does he play cricket?
Do they love you?
Do you not go there?

Structure – by using  w h questions,

What/why /how/when/…..+do /does +sub+ v1 +object,

For example -when do you go to school?
Ans-i go to school every day in the morning,
Why does he not come here?
Ans-he doesn’t come  here because he goes to play cricket daily,
Why don’t you understand my problem?
Ans-i don’t have any intention to talk with you so why should I understand your problem yeah,
Note- Simple present is known to say how often we do something,
For example- How often does she go to market?
He doesn’t sleep in the day,
so it’s all about simple present tense.

Now let’s talk about Simple past tense

Basically, we use the simple past tense to know about an action or an event in the past time,
In this tense, we talk about the time passed such as yesterday, yesterday evening, ago, last week, last month, last day, last year, etc,
This is what we mostly use in the simple past tense,
Let’s understand simple past tense by an example
Adolf Hitler was a great German politician, he lived from 20april 1889 to 30 April 1995, he was Born in Austria, but later on, he moved to Germany in 1913 and joined the German worker’s party,
So here we see, some of the words such as was, lived, moved, are all past tense,
Another example- I completed your work before the deadline
She went there and talked to him,
He woke up late today,
Yesterday he met me,

So we get a sense that to make sentences in past simple tense, we use V2 form,
For example- I taught Hindi literature last year, but I teach Sanskrit now,
I tried my level best,
So here taught is V2 form of the verb (teach ),
And tried is V2 form of the verb (try ),
Similarly, this is how we use V2 form of the verb to make sentences in past, actually here you learn is all basics concept, and hope this will help you a lot,

A rule for assertive sentences:- Sub+v2+object…
This structure revealed that very often the past simple ends in – ed,
V1+ed=V2, but it’s very often, not in every case,
ed is added to the only regular verb, such as
Stop+ed=stopped ,
Similarly, you may find the list of the regular verb and can remember,
But many verbs are irregular because past simple doesn’t end in – ed,
Teach =tought ,
Think= thought,
See =saw,

Interrogative sentence:-
Rule :- did +subject +V1+object ,

For example-
Que- did she come here?
Ans-yes she came here,

Making questions in simple past tense we use this rule

Que- Did he come here?
Ans-no he didn’t come here,

Que- did you make her understand?
Ans- yes but she didn’t understand,

Rule – Wh , questions +did+s+v1+o

For example – when did he come here?
How did you go from here?
